Robinhood, an app for trading securities and cryptocurrencies, took the 14th place this year. Revolut is located on the 26th, Coinbase-on the 34th, and Liquid – on the 38th. The list of emerging companies from the FINTECH industry also includes the popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

Most of the Fintech 100 companies listed in the US are 15. The UK is in second place with 11 companies. China took third place with 10 companies. Only one company from Russia is on the KPMG list.

Chris Wang, head of FINTECH at KPMG, highlighted the active development of Chinese companies:

“Chinese firms are still distinguished by the development of FINTECH, while there are certain changes in the local space. The list is increasingly beginning to include firms associated with capital formation, insurance, as well as those that work in several industries at once. This may indicate a deep integration of innovation in the financial services sector.”

According to KPMG, FINTECH 100 companies have raised a total of $18 billion over the past year and more than $70 billion since they were founded. Their customer base is more than 2.5 billion people worldwide, and their development was made possible, in particular, by following the principles of open banking.
